Eveyone in my Apt complex pays different amounts for water, sewage, garbage, and trash. Our leases are different and rent prices are different. Management will not give a reason. If we don't like it we are told to move. The leases do not specify NW&P
We are told we are responsible for all utilities. NWP is sprung on us sometimes up to 6 months after moving in.
According to the Landlord Tennant Commissioner in Sacramento....
This is illegal practice. I understand that each unit can be leased as a separeate dwelling, however it is the way these fees are snuck in and there is no rhyme or reason how these amounts are callculated is what makes it illegal. I have disputed with NW&P. I have won to a degree, however once my lease is up, It will start all over again.
I would be interested it getting a group of folks together in a lawsuit. Most folks have moved out rather than to fight for their rights!

Don't let this company along with your Property Management Company Rip you off! If you have been billed by NW&P you need to stand up for your rights. Please call your local Board of Supervisors in your area and report them! In Carmichael, CA. you can call 916-874-5411. Call your local television stations that investigate consumer reports. Power is in numbers. Please call today!

My sister also lives in the apartment complex in Carmichael, CA.
She is disabled, on a fixed income and is renting under section
8, HUD.
Apartment management has required her to pay a huge monthy fee for water, sewage, and garbage through NW&P. She was not able to make these payments and the bill is now up to well over one thousand dollars!
Finally, after being upset and stressed out over the rising late fees and services charges along with the bill itself....
she confronted management and was told her bill would be eliminated. She was told "It was a mistake"! She could have been going hungry to pay this phony bill from this phony company!
Shame on these people!
