Omega Meats Trevor Ball Unsavory sales practices and no return calls trying to return product Chester, Virginia

On 6/5 my wife called me while I was out of town. She was talking with Trevor Ball, a salesman, with Omega Meats. She asked if I wanted to buy some chicken they were selling. I told her we could not afford it just having bought a full beef cow and just butchered with our freezer completely full. I heard my wife tell him that we were not interested. I hung up.

Later that evening I found out from my wife that he continued to harangue and harass her to buy the product. She was insistent that we were not interested. Trevor went back to the vehicle and got in. Another man in the passenger side then got out of the vehicle with packages of chicken and came into my house (I was out of town and my wife was there alone) and proceeded to open our freezer, putting the chicken in the freezer, saying that he could fit the chicken in our nearly full freezer. My wife was intimidated and was coerced to buy the meat put in there in the amount of $200. As they were putting the meat in the freezer, they each helped themselves to a pack of hamburger we just bought.

Shortly after they left, she called the credit card company to let them know about wanting to dispute the charge but could not until the charge went through. They advised her to call Trevor and ask to come back for the chicken because we did not want the product. I also called Trevor's number that evening to indicate the same thing. Both calls went to voicemail. On 6/6 I called the office in Chester, VA and left two messages in the morning with the person who answered the phone for the manager to call me back. I never got a call back. I called one more time in the afternoon and talked with another person and told her the circumstances of the sale. She seemed genuinely appalled and said the manager would call tomorrow morning. I still have not received the call as of 6/7 (today).

I will be calling tomorrow and will attempt to get them to take their meat back. I placed a dispute on the charge made on my credit card.

I would never, never recommend this company to anyone after the encounter my wife had, and my attempts to talk with someone in charge at their office in Chester, VA. They do not have the courtesy to call me back most likely because they deal with this kind of thing every week based on other comments I found about this company and their product.
