I was desperate, my cd/dvd drive just stopped working for no apparent reason, so I went to the Microsoft Help Website for a sollution.  Microsoft directed OmniTechSupport.  I was online with a tech for over an hour it may have been 2 hours.  I explained the situation to the Tech and he insisted that there must be a virus on the computer after he accessed my computer and attempted to make the drive work.  He was completely un-successfull.

After paying to have him run free internet available software to look for a virus or spyware, addware, maleware, I watched every step of the way and everyprogram showed not threats.  I said to the Tech that the software he had just run on my computer showed no threats and there was no viruses detected.  He claimed that the program found and repaired the issue.  What a bald faced lie!  I use the same software he used and I know d**n well how to read what it is saying and I watched every step.

After running the software he claimed again that the computer was now fixed and working properly, I argued and said my Drive still does not work.  Still connected remotely to my computer he asked me to put a disc into the drive and I did then he said try another disc, and I did then he said try a new blank disc and I did.  I explained I have done all of this already.  He said the drive muyst have been infected.  Bull sh*t!  I replaced the drive while I was online with him and tried a new drive I just purchased it didn't work either.  The tech said it must have been infected too,  I said HOW!? he said because I had already installed it before contacting them that it too was infected.  I said ok I will install it in my old laptop and test it,  It works perfectly, so I then took the drive I had removed and tested it in my old laptop, it too works perfectly.  Again He said " I told You The Drives kwere infected and that is why they don't work"  I said I know what you told me and I am telling you they both work perfectly in my old computer.

I was charged something like $145.00 for an anual service which I asked them to cancell and they did not.  I was charged $75 ot $79 for the repairs they didn't make to my system and I am right where I started.  I WANT A REFUND AND I WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME AND E-MAILING ME ABOUT LEAVING MY COMPUTER TURNED ON SO THE CAN RUN RUTENE MAINTENANCE THAT I DO MYSELF!
