I have been billed for $38.53 this month on my telephone bill.

I called both USBI and my local telephone company which is Verizon.

I never called a Island called Diego Garc and I finally got credit and a free block (this has been told to me over the phone) I have no written confirmation. I am a Senior Citizen of very low income and this has caused me to become very upset. What can be done about this crooked way of getting or trying to get our little money and could mess up our credit? From what I gather from conversations with USBI they almost said you must pay the bill you authorized the call but since this is the first time we will give you credit. Now what happens if this happens again, what protection do we have? This is down right rotten and dirty business as far as I see it.

I feel like closing out using any Telephone Service, getting rid of my computer and just doing without any Service at all. I do not need this kind of trouble at my age, in fact, no one needs this to happen.

Usbi hears the same threats day in and day out. They simply don't care anymore. It's all about the money now.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 15, 2005

Here's how these crooks work.

The main crooks at usbi tell the worker bees to collect as much money as possible.

Naturally, nobody ever made any of the calls they are being billed for. So, the bees have to fight with people over and over again all day long. Can you imagine doing that job?

Anyway, they make their phony threats to try to scare people into sending money. But, there is really nothing they can do. Call your real phone company and refuse the charges. Pay the rest of the normal phone bill on time. But, leave the usbi part unpaid.

Just refuse to pay usbi. There's nothing they can do. They're frauds. It's no different than the bum on the corner trying to get you to buy him a beer.

They are just looking for handouts, just like the bum. Don't be foolish enough to give them one.

Threatening USBI did not work for me!!

AUTHOR: William - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 15, 2005

This is William from Tampa. I called UBBI this morning and spoke to a female rep. I immediately informed her that I had submitted complaints about them to the FTC, FCC and my local newspapers and TV stations. She did not seem to care and stated that I was still responsible for paying for these calls. I explained that I knew it was all a scam and that I would soon be interviewed by a local TV station and would not have anything positive to say about USBI.

She did not care and reemphasized that I was still responsible for paying for these calls. I immediately contacted Verizon and spoke to a very nice rep. I asked her to please remove the USBI part of the bill from the Verizon bill and explained to her that they run a scam. She very kindly removed the charge from the Verizon bill. Guess I'll have to dispute this with USBI.

Does anyone else know anything else that I can try? The USBI rep was very rude and would not give me that supposed 1 Time credit that they are supposed to give. I asked her to give me the 1 Time credit and she refused. Please help me!

Cheating the elderly! Just business as usual at USBI.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 12, 2005

If there's one thing I really hate to see, it's the elderly getting cheated. Fixed income. Trying to stay ahead of gas and housing prices.

Then, these crooks come along and cheat them on their phone service.

Here's what to do.

First, file complaints here, to these two federal agencies.

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 FTC/Bureau of Consumer Protection/complaint form

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475.cfm FCC/complaint form

Next, call usbi and tell them you filed complaints. That scares them. They are afraid the feds are going to come over and lock them all the hell up.

Do not pay one red cent to these crooks.

Now, on to your computer. A virus came over the line and installed itself on your computer. The computer is the one that is actually dialing out to the island. You'll need to format the hard drive and erase everything to completely get rid of it.

Then, you put the windows and all your programs back on. This will only last until the virus comes over again. It could be a week. It could be a month.

Search for MODEM DIALER CON or MODEM DIALER FRAUD on google to learn more.

I'm the only person in this whole country that doesn't own a phone. This is a big part of the reason why. Who needs all this phone fraud?

Perhaps, you'll join me.
