Openroad Lending Don't count on the amount you are approved for - they use LOWEST trade value

I was approved for a loan for more than I owe, after a hard credit inquiry. Then when finishing up the process, she told me the lowest trade value for the car was a considerable amount lower than what I owe, and suggested a down payment to make up the difference. I explained that if I had that kind of money just to put toward my car loan that I may as well give it to the bank currently financing me on the principle and not worry about refinancing. She said I wasn't listening to her, and said we had options, but came back with something I found to be insulting so I hung up. I received another email that showed they changed their decision from approved to denied.

Do not let these guys fool you! If you are approved for more than you need, it doesn't mean anything. They'll tell you that your car isn't worith it. Using the LOWEST trade value isn't quite fair, besides she had no supporting facts. I found the amount for the lowest trade value for my car was quite a bit higher than she quoted. So my guess is they make up their facts.
