Option One Mortgage Corp deceptive payment processing Irvine California

About a year ago my husband & I filed a chapter 13 due to a variety of unfortunate incidents, we have 4 years to go. During the past year we fell behind on our mortgage payments due to having to close my business.

Option One was asking for the stay to be lifted from our bankruptcy so they could proceed with a forcloser. We came to an agreement with there attorney to get our payments caught up.

We are paying $450 per week. We have been doing this since july. I just found out by speaking to one of there customer service people that they are holding my payments in a suspense account until they recieve enough to make a full payment then applying the payment.

This whole time I thought a few months down the road and we can just resume normal payments, instead the interest is just compounding while my money sits in an account doing no good. I don't understand how they can just hold it like that. Aren't they making enough off the 12% they are already getting, plus the late fees, plus everything else!!

They need to be stopped, there has got to be something that can be done. Why is this practice excepted. It is bad enough that my life seemed to go to SH#T, but at this rate I will never be caught up and able to refi.
