Orbitz I booked a flight with Orbitz in Sept 2015 for Dec. 2015. Orbitz eliminated my reservation and never told me. They ruined my family holiday and tried to blame me. I and my family have spent literally hours attempting to resolve this to no avail. I will NEVER use Orbitz again. Chicago Internet

Re Orbitz: DO NOT EVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!! I booked a flight to Seattle, leaving today, in early, early September. I got to the airport today, at the correct time, at the ticket gate for the correct airline, and the ticket had literally vanished in the computer system. American told me my ticket had been canceled by Orbitz, that I should go to the United desk. I went to the United desk. No ticket.

United said that I had been listed as a person who did not show up for an 8 AM flight to Denver.

My REAL ticket had me flying out of Madison at 12:30 to Chicago, and then onto Seattle.

Orbitz then tried to blame ME for the error, I spent 3 hours mostly on hold, while the Orbitz people tried to figure out what had happened, still frequently during that time coming back on the line to blame me.

The end result is I spent 4.5 hours at the Madison airport waiting for the problem to be resolved, all flights departed, and I ended up with no flight to Seattle, and no Christmas celebration and holidays with my daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law, and their extended family.

My time with my family is ruined. It isn't happening.  I never got out of Madison.

My sister and I again spent hours on the phone with Orbitz last night resulting in no resolution.  I just keep getting forms from them when their PR people read that I am publicly outing them.

I will NEVER use Orbitz again. This has been a nightmare day, a nightmare experience, and I am totally done with those people. And have told them so. Do I sound furious? You bet! And sad and tearful. Ruined holiday.

Still no word from Orbitz

Orbitz is way beyond the timeline they gave me--48 hour--for a response.  Nothing.  

It's Christmas Eve.  I'm in Madison.  My family is in Seattle.

Orbitz has now blocked me on Twitter AND there has been no resolution to getting me to Seattle today.  Is this going to happen?  Is Orbitz going to do the right thing here?

Orbitz has now contacted me again because of the complaint I posted on this website.  I sent the information to Orbitz yet again.  I will let people know if there is a satisfactory response from Orbitz.  I have been contacting them for 2 days and, so far, nothing.  I'll be interested if this response is any different.  

Clearly, Orbitz responds to public criticism with offers to contact customer service.  But, so far, customer service has done nothing except to blame me.
