Orkin Theft Long Beach California

Orkin provided fumigation services in our 16 units building. Shortly after we discovered that expensive purse was stolen from our unit. The purse (Prada) was anniversary gift for my wife and meant a lot to her. We filed police report about stolen property and forwarded it to Orkin. The Branch manager Richard Spurling reply:

“from time to time we have break-ins during our fumigations. Since we have no means of securing locations beyond everyone’s ability to break an entering (no one does) it our responsibility to advise the customer to hire some type of security”

We hired security for the time of fumigation but only Orkin’s employees had keys and access to the units. We expected that investigation will be done by Orkin and our losses will be covered. We were wrong in our expectations. Nothing happened.
The conclusion is:  If you hire Orkin, expect theft and losses. It happened and it will happen again.
