I'm not sure, but Overnight Prints may just be a Web storefront drop ship operation as the printing may come from anywhere in the US, not Santa Ana.

I found this out the hard way when I needed business cards for a trade show just a week ahead. I found Overnight Prints Website, liked the pricing and order operation, and saw at the bottom of each page their Santa Ana, Ca address. Since I'm also in the LA area, I knew that UPS Ground would be a next day delivery, thus saving on my shipping costs.

I placed the order on Saturday night (tried calling their '24 hour' toll free support line but no one answered) over the Website. On Monday it showed the business card orders were in review, and on Tuesday they were printed and shipped.

My shock and dismay came when I pulled up the UPS tracking information and saw that the business cards I needed by the weekend from shipped from KENTUCKY with a scheduled delivery the next Monday.

I called Overnight Prints and asked where on the Website does it indicate that print shipments may not come from their advertised location, Santa ana, CA. He said it doesn't.

If I'd known that my order would ship from across the country, I'd not have bought from Overnight Prints.
Now I'll be buying the business cards on a rush basis loacally at a much higher price in order to have them in time.

Word of warning, if you're counting on getting your delivery within a specific number of days, regardless of where you're located, then be prepared to pay premium UPS or FED EX next day or 2 day delivery fees.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Overnightprints Double Life

AUTHOR: Givitstraightnochase - (U.S.A.)

I used to work for these people, knew the "President" an other wannabees. They have a polite feature it's called "Hire To Fire"(before employee bennies kick in like unemployment-bennies). Check out Farheap Solutions (just as shady Overnight Prints). Their quality of printing sucks because they print about a 100 cards on one run or sheet. Most times they don't check. The QA Dept. (one guy) can't check them all and most defective cards get shipped. Why reprint 100 cards when only a four of them were terrible. Who cares if they were next day air or this was a repeated customer. No one at that company cared enough to follow through. When suggested certain measures should be taken and gave positive examples, I was told to not worry about it that's what the CSR people are there for. Duhhh.... well someone's not doing there job. In training I got about 10 templates on how to handle different types of complaints or customer issues, most of them repeated themselves and really never solve anything. In the end you'll just end up calling tech support just to get nowhere. The hold time..."fagetaboutit".

They need to spend some "doremi" to get qualified CSR in there. That's the bottom line on that. You need articulate educated individuals. Yes they just opened a poorly operated Overnight Prints in Kentucky. Don't worry it will close soon (just like the one in Europe that there planning to open). Let me tell you the refunds and reprints from unsatisfied customers poured in by the thousands. They are located in Santa Ana. They want to be this grand, technology and printing corporation. What they really do is lose millions in credit card fraud, fire salaried employees (and hire temps because they got in a "high rise" they couldn't afford), then if you were so stupid to go there for a interview in the first place you'll only be there to serve a government quota, get trained by some nice people, shuffle some paper work and given your last check just before you enter the "third month".

The reason "Down Sizing". If you're hungry, ambitious, a problem solver, and aggressive this is not the place for you. If you just want to fit in, be a drone, stay quite; doesn't talk to "ANYONE" with out an official email before hand, micromanaged by all means Go For It Baby!!! STAY AWAY FROM FARHEAP SOLUTIONS & OVERNIGHT PRINTS.
