I am a college student and I work, I may not live in the best neighborhood for their delivery, but I do own my home and I tip my drivers. I order from Papa John's because they are the only restaurant that delivers in our neighborhood. I oreder from them at least twice a week.

I have been sent burnt pizza's every other time I order on night shift. I call to complain and I have been disrespected and yelled at by the night shift manager and told that I should not order from them if they mess up my food.

I spoke with a night shift manager Lindsey and she was nice, I was told I would recieve a credit for the burnt pizza, the next day I called to order my pizza on credit, I was told they do not have them, instead they have coupons mailed to houses. Two weeks later, I still had not recieved my coupons, I called back and spoke to a night shift manager, I was told to call a manager Ross, the designer of the coupon system Monday morning.

I was also told that, "You are not the only person to complain, it seems like one one ever gets their coupons, I am not sure why they take the complaint, and promise to mail them but never send the coupons."

I called, he was very rude, I was not allowed to finish a sentence, I was told he is the General manager and that he will not take advice from his customers, I was given the long distance corp. number, I left a message for another manager and again it has been another two weeks and I have not gotten a response OR my coupons, yet they have kept my money.

I have placed them on the ban list and I fefuse to order from them again. I was charged for burnt pizza's even after I was told that the night manager Tyrone would not charge my account. According to him, if my pizza's are burnt then every one else's are too so he doesn't know what to tell me other than they are not coming back to get them.

This company is running a crooked business toward their customers. One pizza will be good and the other will be burnt, either way they say the product is correct. This behavior can not be acceptable. If there are actions that can be taken, please let me know, if there are others who have the same problem, lets get a class action suit going. This is not a joke, I work hard for my money and if I buy food for the dumpster there is a big problem.

Let me tell you something..

Okay so i have never worked for papa johns but I have ordered from them and i think their pizza tastes okay and usually when i order i hardly have any problems with burnt pizzas. I've had problems of them forgetting soda or something like that but they have always come back with my soda. However I worked for a pizza place before and i agree it is very easy to burn a pizza if your not paying attention. With all pizza places there are "free pizza coupons" which usually take about 10 days to get to a persons home. In no way is it the companies fault that your pizza was burnt it was the idiots working there that made the mistake. Maybe if you ever order from them again you can try opening your pizza box right in front of the driver to insure that your pizza is made well.If it is not then tell the driver to take it back and tell him to recredit your credit card or if your paying with cash don't give them the money. It's really a no brainer situation and should not even be put on this website. Good luck to you and have a good life.

I, too, am an employee of Papa John's, & I appreciate your enthusiam, but it is not virtually impossible to burn a pizza. While it's true that our ovens run on conveyors so each pizza is cooked for the exact same time, at the exact same temp., there is plenty of room for human error. The conveyor only runs when the oven is at the correct temp. If you put the pizza too far in the oven while waiting for the conveyor to kick on, the pizza will start to cook. At the end of the oven where the pizza's exit, there is a catcher to stop the food from falling on the floor. If you are not paying attention, food backs up in the oven & is burned. The machine is only as good as the operator.

I would recommend not ordering food from a company that you've filed more than one complaint about. Good luck to both of you.

There is no such "coupon" program you mention

AUTHOR: Jeremy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 03, 2008
I am a current employee of Papa John's (different stores) and have been affiliated with the company off and on for over ten years. The ovens the pizzas are cooked in are conveyor belt ovens which are visible to in store customers. It it virtually impossible for a pizza to be "burnt" from these ovens unless everyone's pizza is burnt. Furthermore; if pizzas were coming out burnt, then the store manager would be getting numerous calls about this and this wouldn't be the only report. This "coupon" thing you mention is news to me because I've never heard of anything so ridiculous. In this situation, managers are taught in training to remake your order and send it back out and collect the order in question in return. If there is a "credit" for a free pizza at another time, it will be noted in the details of the computer record they have on you. No coupons for this are authorized by Papa John's.

After reading your frivolous report, I believe you are an ex employee that was fired and are trying to slander the company. Don't believe this crackpot people! You all know that Papa John's is still the best pizza in town!
