Philips Stole my photoframe instead of repairing it. Pleasanton CA

I had a digital photofram, called the Philips 7FF2M4/27 digital picture frame, in which the internal battery was not working. I contacted Philips customer support, and they told me to send it in for repairs. Before sending it, I made sure to ask:

"If for some reason you cannot fix and decide not to replace my photoframe, will you send it back to me?"

I was told that they would. They declared in an email, "once the product is returned to us, we will send your replacement product in approximately 14 days."

After 3 weeks I asked what was going on, and was told they were working on it. After many delays which added up to six months, I finally requested 

"Is there some way I can make a claim to get my money back for my Philips photoframe that you have not returned to me? It has now been several months before I sent it in for repair."

At this point they stopped replying to my emails, and now the email address for the customer service agent that I worked with does not work. I have not been able to get any response from Philips, and they still have my digital photo frame.

So be warned all who read: don't send anything to Philips customer support repair team!
