Planet Beach is a rip-off franchise. They only want your money and will tell you anything to get it. There are many PB spas that have gone out of business which is not mentioned in their UFOC. Also the CEO Steve Smith has filed for bankruptcy for a business in the past and has failed to report it to franchise owners, or mention it in the UFOC. They will ship you your products one at a time so the shipping is so much that you can not make a profit selling them.

They also run specials where you sell products and services at a reduced price, but they have the original price in the system so they can take their percentage based on the retail price, not the reduced price. They have been sued for this several times. They provide no franchise support. When I opened my store they did not send in their experts that they are suppose to send to show new owners what to do and train them. They also told me that my new location had be checked demagraphicly and was an excellent location. It was in the middle of a minority area, who by the way don't tan.

PB will shut off your email to the company if you complain or ask others about violations of the Franchise Agreement.
