Before I went to this new tanning salon, I had encountered a problem with another Planet Beach so I asked the new owner first if was he related to the owner of the other one, he told me no. Another employee advised me, yes that is his brother. I let that go knowing he had lied, but had purchased a very expensive tanning lotion and was offered by that owner to keep it there, I asked if it was safe, he advised yes, no one gets in those cabinets except employees.

I set up my account where my fee was deducted from my bank account once a month, after this, I had was met with some serious medical problems and could not tan, but continued to pay monthly hoping to return. Last month I was able to return but when I asked for my tanning lotion and goggles, the only thing in that cabinet was the bag it came in. The employee asked me, how do we know you left it here, I advised why would I be asking for it, it I didn't? And why would I leave the bag it came in with my goggles? I was on my way to an appointment and stated this to her, why would I waste my time asking for something that I knew they did not have? She said well lot's of people get in that cabinet, like that guy you just seen leave here, you seen he went and retrieved his own stuff out of there and I don't know what you expect from me. I was unimpressed to say the least about their professionalism. But than that is why they hire young girls at small wages to take the brunt of what happens to customers.

Again, I was told, the owner was the brother of the other Planet Beach 3 of us had had similar problems with. I asked that she have that owner call me but that never happened. I gave her 3 numbers to call and said I would like to discuss this problem, still, no call. She said, he will call you, I know that???

Those who own this place are not interested in Customer Service, only in the fee that you pay them straight out of your checking account every month. I, along with all the people I am in contact with on a daily basis will never do business with Planet Beach again.

I have been a member of Planet beach (Zephyrhills) since Jan 09 and the owners at my location are wonderful. I have had the best of experiences. I would have to say since each of these day spa's are franchised that the owners and employee's are individual since all experiences seem to differ. I signed up and was explained all charges and when the would debited from my account. I have never in five months had a problem. As far as my supplies (lotions, goggles, etc..) I wouldn't leave them there. How can you expect someone else to be responsible for these items. And why would you leave your lotions that run anywhere from 25.00 to 100.00 anyways??? I am sorry for your experience however, my location is great! I love them!!!!!!
