I rented a car from Heitz back in October due to an accident. I returned the car on October 27. The next month I recieved a bill from "PlatePass" for $28.45 saying I returned the car November 6.
3.70 for the toll and 24.75 Adm fees.
After reviewing the documents it said I went through a toll plaza on October 22 - Sunday at 11.10:17 am. I called them and told them I did not do it. I did not drive my rental car that day due to decorating at home for Halloween. They refused to listen to me and told me I had to pay the bill.
I asked how I could dispute it and got the run around I had to call Heitz. I did and Heitz said they had no record of it.
I called PlatePass back and I got another person telling me they don't dispute items that I have to pay the bill. Being they got the notice from Heitz I had to have them to dispute it.
I let it go! then in December I received another bill and called them back. I was told they sent me an email that I could dispute the charges. But I never responded to it. They read my email address back to me and mispelled my email address real bad. I was told they would resend the email to me. Did not happen. Again this is after I was told they don't dispute bills.
I was then told again that they don't dispute charges that I would have to contact Colorado Express Toll and dispute the charge with them and Heitz.
I call COExpresstoll and the customer service rep researched my rental tag number and came back to me saying my tag never went through any toll plaza on said day or any time around it.
so I called Heitz back and told them my findings and I was told at that time with Heitz that there was a $20 charge, for something but they would waive it being what I had been through. But they had no record of the toll charge. I was told that this would resolved the issue.
so, In the first part of January I called COexpresstoll back to ask if I could get a letter stating that the car did not go through the toll. I was told the accont was held by "PlatePass" and that they could not give me the letter, but would note the account of their findings so PlatePass could call them.
I received a bill yesterday and called asking to speak to a supervisor, the person I spoke to wanted to know why, I told him and I got a supervisor
As I spoke to her and told her what was going on, she told me I had to pay it being they already paid the bill, but they would waive the adm fee of $24.75.
I told her COExpressToll has it noted I was not the car, but I was told I had to pay the toll. There was no way out. I WAS ROB! Even after numberous times of saying I did not even drive my car. She did not want to contact COExpressToll and did not, even with the information given.
She told me if I had proof I was somewhere else they might look at it. But the only proof was my partner who was doing the decorating with me. But that wasn't good enough for her. She did not care I told her I did not do it and that the proof was with COEpressToll.
I was told in the being when I called that they wouldn't ever dispute the charges and I WOULD end up paying . . . . and I did pay $3.70 just to stop the billing and the lack of honestly the company gives. I WAS ROB by PLATEPASS - and they were NOT willing to help dispute it. Their word is the only word
