PNY Technologies, Sony PNY Technologies did not accept my rebate request, saying that they were missing the UPC, which I mailed in. Miami Florida

I bought a Sony voice recorder, which was supposed to have "up to $40 rebate." I sent in the receipt and the UPC to PNY Rebates. But I didn't make a copy of the UPC. Weeks later, I got a postcard saying that the UPC was missing. I sent in the rest of the packaging materials, but that was not proof enough. I still have a copy of the receipt too. I think the company discards any materials previously sent, so if you don't have copies, there is no way to prove ownership, unless the store you buy the product from has information on file.
