PNY Technologies Rebate ripoff, sent everything accurately and timely, still nothing!! Miami Florida

Here is the deal. I purchased a PNY Geforce MX440se 64mb sdr pci video card from Tigerdirect. It was $69.99, but with a $35 manufactures rebate that made the total $34.99. What a great buy I thought. I collected all the data that need to be sent in for the rebate. A copy of the invoice, the upc code cut ffrom the box, and a copy of the rebate form (03-59400). I mailed it certified because we all know how rebate request are the mail that gets lost the most. The purchase date had to be between 7/01/2003-8/31/2003. It was purchased on 7/10/2003. it had to be postmarked by 14 days of the purchased date. It was postmarked 7/14/2003 and I still have the actual receipt from the certified mailing.

All of this and they still send me a postcard that says the postmark was to late. So I call them and they don't ask any questions or despute anything. They want me to redue the rebate process, but this time send it to New Rachel, New York instead of the rebate center in Miami, Fl. Why? I guess the place in Miami, FL is the prerebate center just for practice. It just amaze me how they just rip you off. We need to get something going in congress to stop this. Just put the items on sale don't rip us off with rebates that you can only collect if you spend several hours working on it.

I sent this same message to my elected officials. Stop the madness.
