PODS fraudulent practices :

We have contacted PODs by phone in June of 2007 to transport and store our funiture. At that time, and throughout the numerous calls we had with PODs, the representatives assured us that our furniture will be stored in an Air- Conditioned facility. We made the decsion to go with PODS based on this assurance, as there were many other moving /storage companies out there that charged considerably less, but did not offer the AC feature.

We placed Master Card on file for automatic debit of charges. In July, we asked PODS to immediately cease charging the Master Card, and to place the charges on American Express.

PODS stored our furniture for 4 month
When we received the furniture back from storage, it became obvious that furniture have incurred damage due to high humidity and high temp in the storage facility. At that point, we contacted PODS again,
who in turn confirmed that the storage facility was indeed not -air conditioned!!

We disputed some of PODS charges with American Express, and the matter was resolved in our favor. The next day PODS slapped those same charges back again on the other cedit card on file, the Master Card, even though they had explicit instructions not to use the MC. This is unauthorized use, and is akin to theft.

We would like every one to be aware of PODS deceptive storage and billing practices. You also need to be aware that it is impossible to reach a human being in the billing department. They take your name and number and say they will call back in 24-48-hours. In 95% of our calls, PODS reps NEVER called back. Their managers never return calls either. It must be they have tons of complaints!!!
