I won a jackpot of a little over $100 while playing a game on pogo.com. I received an email from pogo outlining what I needed to do to claim my prize. I followed the directions and received confirmation that I had properly completed the prize claim form.

Several weeks later I received an email from Pogo stating that my prize was being forfeited because, after an audit of my account, they had determined that I had either manipulated Pogo's game code or used an automated device to cheat. In addition to forfeiting my prize, Pogo informed me that I would be ineligible to receive any other prizes for 6 months.

I have never used an automated device, manipulated game codes, or shared my account and replied back to customer service to tell them this and to request further infomation regarding my alleged misconduct. Pogo replied as follows:

"Due to the internal and confidential nature of the information reviewed during the audit, we are unable to share any specific details of the audit with you. Other questions regarding this matter will only be discussed via e-mail. We will not discuss the details of any audited players account over the phone."

Like others who have filed reports, prior to the "audit" email, I had requested further information regarding the required IRS form.

This is common practice with Pogo. There have been many, many reports like yours. In fact, it seems to happen every time someone wins a jackpot. I personally doubt that Pogo has ever paid any money out.
