We also got a disk we did not ask for but it looked quite interesting and we buy lots of business books and cds from Croners so I thought I have a look; imagine my surprise when we dicovered that the stuff they are charging 200 for is available free of charge from various sources mainly the HSE; we rang the HSE to be told that Pro Business are currently under investigation for selling copyrighted stuff, that the government makes availale free of charge.

So there you have it: the product has an offial worth of 0.00; of course they know this and they aso know that no Tom d**k or Harry in their right mind would actually go out and BUY their disk; that's where the inertia nonsense sets in: they tried to tell us that because we had gone over the trial period, we had to pay when we said that we did not actually want the product, the lady said that WAS IRRELEVANT.

I do in fact suspect that this scam does not work with CDs, as it is too easy for the punters to send the cd bck, in pristine condition, at any time after the trial or invoicing period. So they have the product back, in resaleable form to con someone else, and they are reqired by law to mitigate their loss: this loss is 50 pence, i.e. the cost of the CD.
