Confirmed moving date changed at 4 PM the day before. Numerous phone calls begging for help since plane ticket bought and cleaning service and painter hired (no refunds). Assured movers would arrive as scheduled originally. They did show up on the right day, but 4 hours late, with a van without scales. Air conditioner dropped out of window.

Company promised to call with weight of furniture. Our calls not returned. Three days later company called to report weight of 2000 lbs. and cost of more than twice the estimate. This is to move a bed, clothes, kitchen utensils - no desk, no sofa, no chairs. No way to verify reported weight.

Arrival promised 7-10 days following packing. Three weeks later there is still no word. Public Van manager never returned calls, secretaries either hung up on you, or promised the van would arrive the next day. Of course, the next day turned into the next and the next.

Rented funiture from Cort (wonderful) and lived out of suitcase. Started work in these same clothes (ugh!). Van finally arrived and when I asked for delivery after 6 PM, I was told it would be an additional $600 cash. Also, furniture would not be delivered until balance paid in cash.

An awful experience. Cried may tears of frustration and anger - to no avail.
