We (my husband and I) contracted and pre-paid Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort to host our wedding ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, due to rain, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort failed to deliver various arrangements, products and services previously paid for by us. All together we paid over twenty thousand dollars for a wedding that never took place. Furthermore, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort has refused to reimburse us for any of it, despite their contractual obligation to do so. The following is a brief summary of what happened.

Originally the wedding was to take place outside, unfortunately due to rain a golden sunset wedding was not possible. But, rain happens. In fact 50% of outdoor wedding we’ve attended have been moved indoors because of rain. However, this is the only wedding in which alternative plans for rain had not been made. To this day, we are amazed and confused that such lack of for-sight and coordination is even possible. It is unfathomable that the resort could treat so many of our international guests to such an experience. Below are few of the most significant issues.

  1. There was no plan to move an outdoor wedding ceremony and dinner to an indoor location. Thus after a day of rain, our evening wedding ceremony took place outside in heavy rain, as Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort did not provide us with an alternative option. 

  2. Following the ceremony, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort did not have a plan for our cocktail reception originally scheduled to take place outdoors. Our wedding guests were forced to wait for over 1.5 hours in a walkway outside of a bar. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort clearly failed to provide us with the cocktail hour that we previously paid for. 

  3. The dinner, originally scheduled to take place outdoors and in private, was moved to a restaurant with other resort guests. To put it mildly the dinner was a disaster. It took place in a crowded restaurant where our guests were separated by a wall. There were no servers present at dinner, and our guests were forced to order drinks from a crowded bar. At one point, the groom's father and family was actually asked to change seats so a resort guest could be seated.

  4. After dinner our wedding party was once again moved to a different location for the reception. The first 30 min. of the reception did not include an alcohol, as the bar for the reception was not set up. Furthermore, the reception area did not have a dance floor or any decorations despite us having paid for these items in advance. 

  5. Finally, we pre-paid for a bonfire and a one-hour extension fee. Since the bonfire did not take place, we expected to refunded for both of these items, however Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort failed to issue such a refund. 

Overall, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Bach Resort failed to provide us with most basic services and their lack of foresight and coordination made what was supposed to be a joyous occasion, into one filled with stress.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ...
