"We Eat Our Own Dogfood"
-With the little money we pay you for your 60-80 hour work weeks, we want you to buy are junk wall stickers, Fatheads. And for the 1% who actually own a home, we want you to refi with us and pay more so that we can sell your loan in a few weeks, but we will put you on our loan tracking system (we will bug you and try to get you to refi every couple of months to make sure you have no equity)

"A Penny Saved Is a Penny"
-Although letting screwed over employees receive their just unemployment, we can save Gilbert what amounts to his billions as basically a PENNY to you and me. And for our management, we don't try to save on cocaine, we buy the best uncut coke for our incentive trips.

"Every Customer, Every Time, No Excuses, No Exceptions"
-Even if the customer is in a great mortgage program, we can spin it to where we can screw every customer any time. If you are not willing to do this, we will find you and root you out.

"Obsessed With Finding a Better Way"
-We are obsessed with finding better ways to drain every ounce of sweat from our employees. We are obsessed with finding better ways to collect more deposits knowing that they will not qualify.

"Every Second Counts"
-We find suckers to work 60-80 hours a week for peanuts making us very wealthy only to spit them out in the end. We (upper management) enjoy the fruits of all their seconds they put in. Skip lunch, forget your family, you need to be on the phone, if not you may miss that app call. When you get home, log in, that is what the great bankers do!

"Ignore the Noise"
-As half of the sales force is getting fired and directors are strung out on coke, ignore this. Keep working 16 hour days till we fire you so we can get every ounce of sweat from you and turn your loans over to the bankers who are doing favors for directors when you are gone.

"We are the They"
-If you work 80 hours per week, become a coke addict, and divorce your wife and forget your kids, you can become one of us. We are one big dysfunctional family.

"Take the Roast Out of the Oven"
-Even though you don't know anything about mortgages, pretend, and give wrong advice to people on their biggest asset. Don't worry if you screw up, as long as you made Dan Gilbert a few bucks.

"It's Not About Who is Write, It is About What is Right"
-As long as you don't voice your opinion and try to say this isn't the greatest place in the world. In that case, we will have to fire you.

Did I forget any?

Junior must have just started... If he was there for more than 6 months he'd be asking where to sign up for the lawsuit.

Junior - You should sign up for the lawsuit and save the money for when you get fired...

A little tid bit of knowledge for you,

you said you were successful, well when i was fired i was ranked top 25% in the company for closed loans that month and hey guess what! I was fired for production lol why production you may ask? well i only wrote 11 loans and closed 14 loans that month. My wonderful opprotunity letter required me to write and close 16 loans. I actually out wrote the president club bankers on my team that month, but hey man i did not make my goal cya later bye. So dont think the 5 or 8 units you may close is going to keep you there long. If you are going to be fired it wont matter what you do!

peace out and good luck

personally i have been enjoying my unenjoyment, thanks quicken for the time off and i will be looking forward to my settlement check too 20-25k will be nice i think i may buy a nice little cabin up north with that check thanks again danny G

It doesn't matter if you're working out of Livonia, Troy or Cleveland, each office is the same. The atmosphere is chaotic, filthy and full of Jews.

Too Much Credit

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 23, 2007

You gave Junior too much credit. First of all, he only has a high school education and a couple of college courses at the Junior College.
Everything else was accurate. You forgot to mention his recreational drug habit. It helps him work all these hours without having to sleep.

How Sweet It Is.

AUTHOR: Jeez - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 22, 2007

You're right, my Mom does love you. She's a very sweet lady with a heart of gold who loves everybody. I however, think you're an idiot.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and attempt to use my FBI profilin' skills.

White Male
20-25 yrs of age (I know everything)
Virtually no education after college (who needs it)
May still live with your folks, if you don't you moved out in the last 8-12 months.
sweet sound system in a car that's worth less than the sound sytem. (it's where you spend most of your time when you're not working, you might as well live a little)
Nice Brand new big screen TV (got to show off the fruits of your labor homie)
Empty Fridge. (you're never home to eat)
You have worked at Quicken for 10-18 months. (still feeling the love)

d**n I'm Good.

Here's the deal Junior, did you know that good mortgage bankers easily make over $100,000 a year? Yep, Anywhere you go, except Quicken. For the amount of hours that you guys put in you'd be making $150k, and I know what your hours are like because I used to work at Rock Financial (left on my own for greener pastures). Do you know that Rock Financial paid 63bps? I'll do the math for you, on every 100k you made $630.00. 200k loan is $1260.00. And that's refi.. purchases were 70bps. That's without "GREENBAR"

Now, do you think you're being exploited?

You're right, this business is not easy, it does take alot of hard work, more than a normal person would put into any profession...that's why you should be compensated properly. I understand that at the age of 20-25 you would think that $38,000 a year including your salary is big money but it's not. That won't cover an adults expenses. And to work 60-70 hrs a week it equals about $11.00
per hr.

You don't have to believe me. You've got a mortgage calculator....use it. Do the math, and then call around, see what other people are being paid. You guys are the laughing stock of the entire mortgage industry, they're driving you into the ground...you just don't know it yet because you're still on the honeymoon.

Congrats on being a successful order taker. Maybe someday you can become a salesperson. Maybe you can be the new spokesperson, I heard the old one quit after being found fraudulent.

You forgot some of the most important ones...

AUTHOR: Duh. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 18, 2007

Always raising our level of awareness - be aware of whats around you so that you can suck every possible ounce out of them. Don't ever discard a lead because who knows...maybe after the 20th day and 60th time calling them, maybe they'll pick up their phone and commit to doing a loan. And hey, if not, we'll just pass the lead to another banker.

The inches we need are everywhere around us - Opportunities for us to harass people are everywhere. Call your leads all day every day. When you call all your leads, call your CARI leads. When you call those, call your LOLA leads again. Turn on call block. Don't stop. CTI calls rock!

Responding with a sense of urgency is the ante to play - Call the client back right away. Unless, of course, it is someone who wants their deposit back. Let them hang, they'll forget about that $500 they worked so hard for..

You'll see it when you believe it - If you believe you can be successful, you will. But just in case you're not, we'll put you on letter and give you unrealistic goals until you quit so we won't have to pay you unemployment.

Numbers and money follow; they do not lead - Ha. The biggest joke. My director asked us how much money we wanted to make and then worked backwards to figure out how many loans we had to close, LSC, etc.

Simplicity is Genius - Just send the clients their loan package. Chances are it will be too big and won't bother to read it and we'll take their $500 and run.

Innovation is rewarded. Execution is worshipped - Don't bother talking to us if you're not an executive banker. Go back to your cube and make CTI calls.

Do The Right Thing

AUTHOR: Urmomluvzme - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 12, 2007

Again, I'm sorry that you were let go from Quicken.

You did forget Do The Right Thing. Isn't that the most important ISM? You know, anyone can take anything and spin it the way they want to. Isn't that the whole premise behind PR? Dan Gilbert, I'm sure, wants to pull a profit. I used to own a business and that was the main goal. He's not out to get the consumer.

If you truly do the right thing at Quicken for the consumer, you will get business and make money. Putting hours and effort into ANY business is necessary, especially in the beginning. It's very hard and it's not a job for everyone. Keep telling everyone not to work here though. more leads for me and my friends who are successful.
