After several years with Quicken/Rock Financial they are now starting to show there true colors and it is so disheartening. Or maybe I am just finally seeing them for what they truly are... scam artist.

I believed in this company and gave everything I could just to be pushed out the door after not playing along with the game and the following the "isms" culture. I worked 70-80 hours a week and then more hours at home. I was encouraged to not take a lunch (mainly because they graciously buy you lunch every other day) and was paid pennies... it was like I was working in a sweat shop and the leaders were constantly pushing and whipping us to do more and more until they either burned you out, you transferred to another position, you quit, or they found a reason to fire you because they start seeing that you are no longer under there brainwashing spell.

I'm really torn between still wanting to believe that they really did care about my welfare and the welfare of all the existing employees and being confronted with the truth that they never really cared anything about me at all nor do they care about any of the employees working there now, they are just out for themselves. The CEO's and RVP's are all to get rich at the mortgage bankers expense. The Mortgage Bankers are on the front line and we ensure the salary of all these other departments, i.e. Quicken University, LEAD Team, The Diff, Operations and of course our fearless leaders. And if we don't close a certain amount of loans we get paid a whopping $100 per loan even though the loan grossed at least $2400 in revenue and if we do close the minimum amount of loans then they bonus us with a little bump in pay of an extra $150 to $200. It's really ridiculous that the Quicken Loans mortgage bankers are the lowest paid employees with the least amount of respect given, when we are the ones that work the most hours, deal with an enormous amount of stress, work the hardest, deal with the public, and we ensure the other 1000+ employees base salary pay.

This lawsuit must really have them scarred because I have witnessed so many drastic changes over the last several months that all make since now. They have put a freeze on hiring any new bankers/employees, they are firing employees at an all time high with no warning, they have changed the banker compensation plan AGAIN, (I heard it is not any better), they are really pushing the bankers to sign up for soft phone so they can work from home... oh and it's not to rest but it looks better so it doesn't look like they are making you work over time in the office. Wonder if that has anything to do with the overtime lawsuit against them... They are also trying to get bankers to sign a legal form listing bankers job duties and that they are happy to work here so they can present it to the judge and show proof that this is such a Great Place to Work. But they fail to mention in this legal binding form, that there lawyers have conveniently drew up for us, that they highly encourage us to work 8:30 - 9pm, and work the weekends, and work holidays, and work from home, and if we don't we are not showing our true commitment and will probably be fired! When do we have time to sleep or live a little bit of our lives? They want to control us like robots and to the employees still working there please open your eyes because they will use you up and then dispose of you when you can no longer help the cause of making them rich.

When they first made us aware of this lawsuit they presented in a way that this was a small slimy up to no good company that preys on innocent successful mortgage companies like Quicken Loans to get money out of them and there was NO WAY QL would back down and allow themselves to be bullied by such low down Attorneys...

So here I am now and I could tell sooooooo much more but I will save it for now. The true villains in this story is not the Attorneys or the ex-employees that started this lawsuit but it is Quicken Loans, Dan Gilbert, Bill Emerson, Jay Farmer and all he's little RVP puppets, you know who you are, that are the true villains here and they have done a darn good job brain washing us all into believing in them. I wish I would have joined that lawsuit years ago when first approached... I was blind but now I see...

What is Dan on?

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 13, 2007

Dan Gilbert thinks that he has a right not to pay the 462 people overtime pay. He thinks it's fair for someone to work 80 hours but yet giving a check that covers 40 hours. I can post 50 past lawsuit cases as examples of reasons why he going to lose MILLIONS. The trial starts NOV.5 (see NKA.COM) Danny feels that his people are not salesman, his defends is that being a MORTGAGE BANKER is not Sales. Can you all believe that? Is he smoking or what? No, he's trying to hold onto every MILLION that he has under that pillow at night. LOOK BELOW AT PAST CASES BELOW AND PLEASE MAIL ME A BAG OF THE STUFF THAT DAN GILBERT IS SMOKING. It must be smoking some powerful stuff to think that he's going to go to trail and not settle this case and now he has PAST CUSTOMERS getting together to start their own CLASS ACTION SUIT - soon to follow is the Fed's next, watch?. Dan and George Bush both seem to have an endless supply of money to keep funding their wars - when the real war is in their own d**n backyard. Jay Farner living in that Million dollar home off ORCHARD LAKE overlooking Apple Island, I love the view Jay and can't believe that Dan is paying you 5 Million a year.

Counsel for plaintiffs and counsel for defendants announced on October 9, 2006 that the parties have reached a settlement of the overtime pay class action lawsuit Gerlach v. Wells Fargo & Co., Case No. 05-CV-00585-CW
2.
One of the most drawn out lawsuits was against Albertsons grocery stores. Over 7,000 employees of the chain waited more than a decade to settle their lawsuit which will see the employees share $53.3 million. Some employees will receive as much as $28,000 after their lawsuit claimed they were forced to work "off the clock", that they were not paid for work performed, and that some were improperly classified as exempt from overtime pay and therefore not properly compensated for hours worked.

Merrill Lynch has decided to consolidate the numerous overtime lawsuits that have been filed against the firm and settle nationally with its brokers. It is the third securities firm to do soearlier this year, both UBS and Smith Barney settled nationally with brokers in similar overtime lawsuits.

Merrill filed documents indicating its intention to settle in federal court yesterday. The amount of the settlement has not yet been disclosed. A Merrill spokesman confirmed the firm's decision to settle: We are pleased that this matter is resolved. We are confident that the manner in which we now pay our financial advisors is both lawful and competitive, he said in an email.

Merrill had settled one overtime lawsuit previously, agreeing to dish out $37 million to brokers in the state of California in August 2005. The firm faced additional overtime cases in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
4.
Home Depot assistant managers in California can sue the home improvement company as a class for unpaid overtime, a Riverside California County Superior Court judge has ruled.

The decision stems from three separate lawsuits against Home Depot which were consolidated into one case in Riverside. The lawsuit claims that Home Depot routinely made "merchandising assistant store managers" work at least 55 hours per week and often more.

The class potentially includes more than 2,000 people who served as managers in Home Depot's 186 California stores from July 30, 1997, to the present. Total damages could reach more than $100 million, attorneys for the plaintiffs estimate.
5.
In one of the bigger wage-and-hour cases to have hit the software industry, computer giant IBM Corp. agreed Wednesday to a $65 million settlement over overtime pay.

The suit, Rosenburg, et al. v. IBM, was brought by a group of eight law firms that banded together to take on the industry leader.

Very accurate

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 12, 2007

I worked for Quicken for 6 months and I have the same feeling. I saw many people over worked and RVP's squeezing out all they possibly could out of people's lives until they quit.

This company is very very unfair on how they treat their employees.

Ask any current/ex-employee.

Sometimes current employees are brainwashed. It takes only about 4-12 months before they realize the truth. Some realize it faster than others.

A guard at every door and a snipper at every window

AUTHOR: Mary - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 06, 2007

When you work for ql you fell like there is a guard at every door and a snipper at every window. You are a slave and if you try to leave or speak your mind you will be toast! I know I worked there for many many years.

I don't work there any longer thank God! You'll see. you are better off. Now you can be happy and have a life. If you want to get more info on the lawsuit go to the website. (((ROR REMOVED BECAUSE OF SECURITY PURPOSES)))) It's crunch time. I was wondering how they were handling it. We go to court in Nov. Every company that has been suited for this same thing has lost. I'm talking about companies a lot bigger then ql. I can't wait to see what happens in Nov.
