my letter to Teresa Taylor:

Teresa Taylor
VP/CEO
Qwest
Teresa:
I am asking for your help on a billing issue I am having.
Here is my experience with the billing dept:
1. Called three times and asked to speak with a supervisor, told that they are busy at meetings and I would get a call back. I never received a call.
2. Told by "Todd" TSKEMP, that there is nothing that can and will be done.
3. I was contacted one week after I signed up for high speed, services and billing info. /rate was verified over the phone!
Here is my dilemma:
A Qwest sales rep told me exactly what my charges would be. Transcript is enclosed.
This is not what I am getting billed for. I am simply asking that the price that I was quoted would be honored for the duration of my obligation, two years.
In addition, I wanted my DirecTV bundled; since I was told I would receive $5 off each month as an additional bundle feature. I found out on Monday, this was never processed! I no longer want this through Qwest. I will keep my DirecTV separate.
I would appreciate your feedback on this, thanks.

I received a reply from her office that there was nothing that could be done!

You're not being ripped off.

Dear Sir,
You never mentioned what you have for your local phone plan but here are the scenarios that will lead to the pricing discrepancies.
If you Have a Phone PACKAGE (includes phone features like caller id, call waiting etc)
you are eligible for a bundle discount ($5) off the normal price of the SILVER internet service you are referencing. This would bring you to $26.99.
The Price of silver with a Local Basic Phone is 31.99
SO. If you only have a basic phone line, you are not eligible for bundle discounts.
Now you may pay a la carte for a phone feature on your account, but you havent painted the entire picture of your account. Below is an example of a package price.
Qwest Choice Home Pick 3 Feature Package - $29.99
Qwest Connect Silver (with bundle discount) - $26.99
Total - 56.98 + taxes & fees (typically around $10 depending on where you are located)
If you are paying any more than this for your total bill, call customer service, 866.871.0115 and they can make the changes.
If you are located in Colorado, you can contact me and I can explain further and help you make the changes myself.
