Portfolio Recovery I did not owe this money and Portfolio Recovery threatened and bullied me into paying only to have them slander me. Norfolk Virginia

I came to America with the hopes of creating a better life for my family and during the course of attempting to attend school, pay rent, and put food on the table I ran into some debts that belonged to me and some debts that did not.

This debt derives from a Capital One account which reports this account negatively on my credit and has failed THREE times to provide documentation to prove that I requested this account and that my identity was established prior to listing on my credit report. Capital One has stated that they sold this account to Portfolio Recovery #4663040010xxxx for $80.64 - $115.00 who in turn have added a second negative account to my credit for the same debt in the amount of $1152. At this point I was called repeatedly and threatened with court. After this intimidation, I paid $691.72 to Portfolio Recovery on July 19th 2013 but only AFTER being promised that the account would be removed. Rather than remove the account as promised Portfolio Recovery has placed a judgment on my credit on September 2013 in Fairfax County District Court for the FULL amount of $1,152 AFTER the took my money!

After investigation, I found this violates FEDERAL law as they are only allowed to list a judgment for the amount they purchased the debt for. This situation needs to come to resolve or I will continue with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. At this point I now have THREE negative listings in my credit file for ONE account that has NEVER been validated! I am currently trying to correct my course in life and buy a home for my family. I NEVER though America was about intimidation for profit!
