We went to Rooms To Go to purchase a new bed for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. After going through the rooms to go finiancing we were turned down, not sure why me and my wife have spent the last few years building our credit and have never been late on any payments. Rooms to go sent us to the RAC inside their place of bussiness. We filled out their paperwork while Jackie did a early purchase option. Last time we did this there was no problem while this time red flags went off in our minds.  While the cost of the bed was 2249.92 + 8.25% tax, the cost after paying it off through Rac was 8454.96. we asked about a large downpayment and was told by Jackie she said it didn't matter it would end up with higher payments. Asked about paying more than the required payments and was told by Jackie that any money paid over would go to intrest and not the principal. We notice that out of a 234.86 payment very little went to the prinicipal. We would had no problems in paying it off in 6 months but after 6 months the principal was still 2116.68. Really makes me wonder what is going on. Is Rooms to Go offering all this 90 days same has cash , no interst till 2016 just to get people in so they can send them over to RAC for a major screwing. What kinda bussiness would do that to honest working people. Heres another question ? With this major interest charge how come their still in bussiness i thought loan sharking was against the law. Everyone sould start a class suit against RAC and any other bussiness who leads their client to RAC. As you might be able to tell my little girl didn't get a new bed. All we wanted to do is build our credit and get my little girl a new bed, rooms to go wanted us and everyone they send to RAC to get ripped off. Shame onyou !!

 Pretty funny Kevin, Of course renting might be for some people. Your just blowing bubbles making it sound like your doing people a favor, while it truth your ripping them off. Stop blowing bubbles and answer the question what is the extra 4000.00 dollars for. You must not read the post because I have called and still waiting on RAC or Rooms To Go to call me. I have no problem in paying a rental fee I have a problem in just giving ya'll an extra 4000.00. What kinda excuse can you come up with. Why is a 2500.00 bed costing 8500.00 going through RAC. No one is willing to answer this question. Waiting on RAC or Rooms To Go district manger to call I know is a waste of my time. I can only assume that no one is willing to answer the question due to they have no way to answer cause you know your stealing peoples money. I have not checked yet but there has got to laws which have legal limit for your service.

 Just so you know I did try that already with the Rooms To Go and also RAC. After being hung up on by RAC I called back and still no answers to why they are charging a loan shark fee which they call rental fee. I went to Rooms to Go to BUY not rent. Was told that 5 payments were the "Rental Fee" no one can answers what the other $4000.00 is a fee for. There is no confusion on our part. The confusion is how come we were not allowed to put a bigger down payment so our monthly payments and interest would be lower. We were told that we can not put a bigger down payment and if we decide to put more money down that amount would only go towards the monthly payments and we would still pay the same interest and fees. Two years ago when we financed through RAC we were able to put down $ 1000 and were able to pay off our furniture within 6 months with a reasonable fee. Now we are not allowed to do it? Was told by Rooms To Go that the District Manager would call since no one there can answer any questions. Was also told By RAC to call there 888-672-2411 number but when doing so they still could not explain and said that someone would call me. I see that on all the reports against RAC the rebuttals that were left are call us. I'm sure that got everyone no where. Its a shame that Rooms To Go direct people to RAC. Anytime we have ever bought anything I have always been ask how much are you willing to put down, not with Room To Go.

There has to Laws which protect people from companys like this, there is no excuse for your action.

I am willing to get to the bottom of this. It was so wrong and we were so offened that all the paperwork we got at that time we kept just so we could prove its not our fault for the confusion.

I apologize if there was any confusion while working with Rent A Center on your financing.  If you feel that there were any errors made in regards to the account, there is a Rent A Center representative at the location that you made the purchase at that would be able to take a better look into this for you.
