Race-depot.com Did not ship merchandise, double charged my bank account, no refund or reply Internet

I placed an order with Race-depot.com on 12/7/07 to purchase Christmas gifts. I ordered a Dale Earnheardt Jr. Elvis COT 1/28 scale diecast for the Richmond Race as well as a 1/28 scale #88 COT of his current paint scheme, AMP car.

I received my bank statement to find that Race-Depot.com double charged my account. I instantly sent them an e-mail to see about getting this resolved by crediting my account back the overcharge amount.

I received an e-mail response back from their mail server acknowledging my e-mail and saying I should receive a response within 3 business days. I never recieved a reply from anyone. I have sent 2 additional messages asking if I was going to recieve my merchandise and asking again to refund my account the overcharge to my account.

When looking at the web site, it states that they have been back ordered and at first, stated that they were expecting more to arrive by the end of January. Then the web site was updated, more expected by the end of February. Since reading these messages, I waited until the middle of March to still recieve no merchandise.

I have gone to my financial institution, to recieve a major dissapointment, It was over 60 days and they would not accept the filing of a fraud report.

I looked up information on the hosting of this web site and found out some good info, but, came to a dead end there. The web site developer that manages this site said they would not give out any information. I think they should be held responsible as well for helping to promote this fraud. If people are held accountable for this, the real bottom will be discovered and held responsible as well.

This has been a major disspointment. These items were ordered as Christmas gifts, not to be received or given. I am out of double the amount of my order and am at a loss as to what to do to recoop these funds and file charges against this company.

By looking, this company has ripped off many people lately. It is a shame I didn't know earlier they were a scam. There has to be a way to have this company held responsible.

With the way the economy is today, who can afford to throw away $200 - $300.
