Ramada Plaza Resort ripoff dishonest charges Ft. Lauderdale Florida

A couple of hours ago, I got a call from Merissa, employee number 706. She told me that I got to the final screening to receive huge discounts on my dream vacation to Orlando. She was so nice and polite and when I refused to give her my credit card number at first, she handled my objection very politely and professionaly and said that she understood where I'm coming from and convinced me with their security acts.

There was a problem with the phone network and I wasn't able to hear every word she's saying, and in fact she told me that there was something wrong with the phone lines (which she denied later). Any way, when she told me about the price of this promotion, I heard it's for US$198, so I was like wow great. I know it sounds that I'm so stupid to believe so, but who wouldn't like to get something he always wanted for the least price ever. Plus, I thought may be I'll pay the rest later in installements or something.

Any way, then Merissa transfered me to a guy called Eric to confirm my information for the package to be sent. And I actually asked her how much will you charge my credit card, and she was like that guy will be able to tell you. Later when I spoke to that guy and when I knew that it'll be US$798 not 198, I told him that I can't afford it in the mean time so just call me back in a couple of weeks or so(since I'm from Canada, 798 will be about 1000 CAD which is too much for me. Then all of a sudden this lady called Marissa interrupted the conversation and started talking in a very rude way saying stuff like what do I expect to pay for such a "great" offer. I then asked to cancel the deal and not being charged for it, and I did speak to another fellow called Henry who happened to be a manager, he tried to make a deal with me by charging me for just half the amount. But I told him that because I was so pissed off from the way she talked to me, I don't feel like doing any committment to this, then he told me that they will have the charges taken off my credit card and then hung up. It seemed like he was just trying to get me off the phone.

An hour later, I checked my credit card balance through telephone banking and shockingly I found that they still charged me. I was so pissed off and since I have never been given any phone numbers by those people, I went looking for any contact information online. Then luckily I found this website. I was not surprised to find all these filed reports against this company. However, I'm getting worried cause it sounds like I will never get my money back, and I really need them. By charging me this huge amount, I went over my credit limit and I can't afford to cover it in the mean time because I'm currently paying for school.

Please let me know how can I get my money back, and if there is any similar cases who have been solved.
