I received a voucher in the mail indicating that I was one of the lucky people chosen to receive a Free Four Days and Three Nights at the "Gold Key" Award Winning Ramada Plaza Resorts in FT Lauderdale, FL, also a Free Three Days and Two Nights at the "Gold Key" Award Winning Ramada Plaza Resorts in Magical Orlando, FL, also a 2 Nights IMCLV Caribbean Cruise and lastly a 7 Day transportation by Alamo. Normally I'm not one of those people who believe in everything they hear but my husband and I haven't been on a honeymoon after our marriage, so it got the best of me and I called the 1-800 number to get more information.
I have to admit, who ever trained this people on their jobs did one hell of a job because what started out as this great FREE 9 days 5 night all expense paid vacation turned into me having seconds to decide on agreeing to having a $898.00 charge put on my credit card. Now I can go on and on about how they sold me on this and that but at the end of the day I said yes to the charges. I should have known right away that some thing wasn't right because they kept saying they were going to record me agreeing to the charges with a third party company.
Needless to say, two seconds after hanging up the phone with them I regretted agreeing to the $898.00. I really started to regret it when I got on the Internet and only fount negative things about the company, (ie. fraud, rip-off, consumer complaints, etc). Than I found Rip-off Report.com and my heart sunk at some of the stories I read about Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Vacations (Ramada Plaza Resorts).
I just knew I was screwed because some were in the conversation I had with the people on the phone, I remembered that I had asked them about their refund policy and they were a little shaky about giving me an answer, but told me they I can call the customer service number to cancel.
Directly after hanging up the phone. I first called my credit card company and explained to them the situation and how I agreed to the charges on a recording and they told me there wasn't any thing they could do but, according by law I might have 3 days to call the company back and cancel the charges. The second call I made was to the Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Vacations (Ramada Plaza Resorts), to cancel my pending order.
I have to for warn you, these people know what they are doing. They had me on hold forever and they kept transferring me to different people who just kept putting me back on hold, after they found out that I was calling for a refund. I was treated horribly, after being transfers from one representative to another I ended up with a lady representative that even went as far to tell me,' these vacation packages weren't made to be refunded and that is why they are discount at 80%'. Now when I asked her what that meant and dose that mean I can't get a refund, she just kept repeating that same thing. Also she brought up the fact that I was recorded agreeing to the charges and told me to just wait for the paper work to come in the mail. After talking back and forth with the lady representative, she eventually hung up on me! After saying she was transferring me to a supervisor.
I then called my bank and explained to them the situation and how I agreed to the charges on a recording and they told me there wasn't any thing they could do. So I called Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Vacations (Ramada Plaza Resorts), right back and after being on hold again forever, I got to talk to a different lady. This time I pretended that I knew what I was talking about (which I didn't) and I told her that I contacted an attorney and they told me I had three days to cancel the charges. Also I told her that I looked up their company on the Better Business Bureau and found them to be unsatisfactory, so that was why I wanted a refund on the vacation.
The representative didn't give in right away, but I stood strong and they agreed to cancel it for me. The representative gave me a cancellation number, but to be on the safe side, the next day I plan to Fax a Cancellation Notice to them and send a certified letter by mail. That way there would be a paper trail proving that I wanted to cancel the purchase.
Worst experience of my life!

Thank You,
