This is a scam. I took the trip April 5th-12th. 1st of all I paid almost 2000.00 for 7 people, 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant. I thought everything else was paid for. What a joke! The trip was supposed to be 3 days in an ocean front hotel in Fort Lauderdale (which they told me I would have to pay hotel taxes 12-15.00max per day per room, 2 day cruise to the Bahamas,(everything was paid i.e. Port taxes) and 2 days in Orlando (hotel taxes 12-15.00max per day per room) with 2 free Disney tickets, meals included in Orlando, and 100 fuel vouchers because I rented my own car. So it would have been 200.00 back for fuel because I purchased 2 packages. Ok that is what I thought.

The Ocean front hotel was a mess. The parking was always full from the locals coming to the Tiki bar that was full of prostitutes. The rooms are small and smelly. The bathtub took a half of day to drain. And this is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. To top it off the hotel taxes was 20.00 per room per night. We had 2 rooms so instead of the 90.00 max I thought we would have to pay it ended up being 120.00 for a crappy hotel.

Next the 2 day Cruise. What another joke. Ramada didn't tell us there would be an automatic fuel charge of 30.00 and 20.00 gratuity per person including my 18 month old daughter. That's 50.00 per person and it was 7 of us. That's 350.00 extra dollars Ramada didn't tell us about. I didn't have that on my credit card so they wouldn't let us off the boat in the Bahamas until I paid cash plus a deposit for incidentals. HA HA HA WHAT A JOKE!

Then we go to Ramada in Orlando and the rooms are a little better and the hotel taxes are 12 per night per room. Wow you mean to tell me something is correct they told me? Get this the Disney tickets that were supposed to be free...weren't. I had to pay 50.00 for them. The meals that supposed to be free I had to pay taxes and gratuity on.

Then to top the trip off I called to see how to go about getting my 200.00 for fuel and I have to send in my fuel receipts. Not one time did anyone tell me this. I was with 2 other adults and I did put some of the charges on my card but most was paid in cash because we were splitting the bill. So now what?

THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT GO ON THIS TRIP! I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN AND WILL TELL ANYONE AND EVERYONE NOT TO DO IT

Ramada Plaza Information

AUTHOR: Mindi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 17, 2008

I took this vacation package from Ramada Plaza. Now I know that many people feel that they have been dooped by this company. When I got the information in the mail I called to book my vacation. I recieved my vacation slips in the mail two weeks later. I paid for my vacation monthly for 8 months. I read all of the fine print in my vacation slips. I took my vacation in April 2006. I upgraded my package so that we would be on the beach. I was happy that I got to go on the vacation. I prepared for all the taxes and gratuity before the trip. I called Ramada and asked questions like " How much do taxes and gratuity run"? They gave me good information. So when I took the trip with my husband and two kids we had a lot of fun. The only part of the vacation that put us in a bad mood was the time share sales people. They would not take No for an answer. We did meet a man at that time share rally that gave us great places to go in the Bahamas. We spent that whole day at the Alantis Hotel in thier water park. Beautiful motel and very large aquairium. I Recomend to others that if your looking to get all that this vacation offers read the fine print and prepare for the unexpected. I would do that on any trip that I plan to take. The motel in Ft. Laderdale could have been better. Other than that it was an experiance that may not have been possiable for my family other wise.
