Ramada Vacations - Ramada Plaza Resorts Rude, hung up on us and doesn't let you speak! Fort Lauderdale Florida

We bought into this scam because we were looking for something cheaper and fun for our honeymoon. After the initial $698.00 that we paid for, we were told when confirming our trip that in order for things to be guaranteed to have a hassle free vacation, we would need to pay another $800.00 so we did. We thought that this would be legitimate as we have stayed at Ramada's before.

My husband did a little research afterwards and came across all of these consumer reports about how bad this vacation can be as well as heard it from people at work. So we decided to cancel our trip since we could not afford to put anymore money towards it (that is why we bought it so "cheap" to begin with).

When we called to cancel, we were very polite in saying that we just were not interested anymore as it was not feesable but they would not have it. They told us it was not refundable even after we had only booked it one day ago and they transferred us to 8 different people, made us wait on the phone for over two hours and we got hung up on twice.

We tried following others advice that we got on here as well as contacting the Attorney General's office but they were closed by then. So now we are newly weds, $1500.00 out and can't go on a honeymoon because we are broke! If anyone can help us get our money back, we would be so greatful! I have tried calling since but again, I was transferred even after asking to speak to a supervisor, and got hung up on again. We had nothing against the company up until we tried to cancel. People were rude, trying to lie to us and would not hear us out.

If anyone knows what steps to take from here, we would be happy to find out as we have contacted our bank but there are many more steps to do before they do anything. We also have an email and call out to the Attorney General but that could take weeks to hear back if we hear back at all!
