I received a telphone call in January describig a "wonderful vacation package". I reluctanly accecpted as I thought about taking my older brother for a birthday gift.
$349.00 was an initial "deposit", and then monthly $58.00 would continue to be taken out of my account. This continued through August, 2006. I guess I assumed I would receive the package after fees were paid.
I never received a package or further correspondance from them.
A few weeks ago I was reviewing my statements, and remembered the January phone call, and found some notes I had made during that conversation.
I called the 1800 number explained my situation of not receiving the package, the person I wanted to take in planning died unexpectally in September, and since have no desire for the trip.
I was connected to a Customer Specialist "Chantel", again explained my situation, and would prefer a refund of the $698.00.
She states she can not refund, but extend my time for 18 months.
"You should have called earler" "The package explains cancellation terms" Again I told her the same, I didn't receive a package, thoughts of a trip disapated, I had my own health issues and surgery the end of August, and it was only through reviewing my bank statments I found the fees, and remembered my notes.
Additionally she could put a hold on my account to stop urthe monies being withdrawn. she reports the fees I paid have already been dispursed (To Who?) she didn't explain.
Ending conversation with "Did I meet your expectations with this phone call?" I told her No.
almost 2 weeks have passed, no further correspondance from the Ramada Plaza Resort, and "no package".
I may also contact the BBB in Fla.
