This company claims that my wife agreed to be charged 50 dollars a month for 3 years, which she did not. She only agreed to 50 dollars for 4 months. (Who pays 50 dollars a month for 3 magazines)? When I called them after 4 month of charges and asked why we are still being charged the lady on the phone said that we agreed to 3 years, which we did not and claims that they have it recorded, which I have yet to hear. Not only did she make this claim but also became very hostile when I said I wanted to cancel and threatened to ruin my credit.

Not only this, but this company misrepresented themselves (or are also Family Readers Club, but because I reported Family Readers Club to the BBB are now denying it) as being the Family Reader Club. Previously when I would call their 1888-323-1278 number and ask if this was Family Readers Club they would say yes. Not only that but when I told them I would like to stop my auto payment on my credit card they would tell me that my account is handled by another division and would forward me to Family reader Club voicemail. I know this because although the Family Readers Club voice mail only says This is the corporate office without saying the actual company name (which I also find suspicious) it was the same voice on the voicemail.

Also even though as of today I have paid all the installments they still sent my wife a letter addressed to my wife in the mail claiming they are a collection agency and we owe another $49.95. The address they sent this letter too was one of two other locations that they claimed would receive free magazines (also they have been harassing the occupants of the two address claiming that the agreed to the same deal).
The minimum I want from this company at this point is for them to stop charging/harassing/ threatening my wife. Also I would like this company to be shut down by the BBB and FTC because I have seen a lot of other people on the internet having the same issue with this company as I am.
