I was attempting to get anti-virus software to protect my computer. They said $79 on the website and on my credit card account they billed me for $99.90. Then my computer gets infected.

It said my virus software was out of date. I try to find the site on the web and instead i found out that it was a ripoff.

This is a fairly common scam.   The pop-up that you responded to was bogus.  It's meant to suck in people who just assume a pop-up is telling them the truth.

The product that you paid for, downloaded and installed was the actual virus.  If I were you, I'd remove any trace of that program.  No one is really sure what it does yet, but since you know it came from scammers in Azerbaijan, it can't be anything good.
