RealtyTrac is the biggest of all scams, they get you with the 7days free trial, in which you can cancel at any time during the trial period. Well, you can cancel by internet of phone.

Realtytrac charge $5 for over the phone cancellations, so, the best way is to cancel online. Well guess what, I was not able to cancel online. To cancel online you have to log into your account and change your profile. I tried logging in and clicked on cancel account. Then I tried to log back in to verify my cancellation, the system would not let me, it kept logging me out of it ( I am pretty sure that it is an intentional internet bug), so I assumed the account was canceled. It WAS NOT and I was charged $49.99.

They will get their money from you, either by charging you the $49.99. or $5 cancellation by phone fee( if you realized it early enough). Now I have to run after them to get my money back, I called them for account cancellation, and money refund. After couple of phone calls and few emails back and forth, Their answer: you signed a contract that says: 1- you dont have to use the account to consider it active, and we will keep charging until you cancel. 2- there are no refunds, and no prorated refunds.
Basically whatever they charge is theirs to keep. I looked them up, and I read a ripoffreport.com report, and they gave me the solution, to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. Which I did. My CC company said that realtytrac is a known problem, and my CC company instantly returned my money. Thanks you RIPOFF REPORT.
