I have contacted RebateHQ SEVERAL times about my rebate without any resolution. According to their website, my paperwok was received on May 30, 2001 and a check was even printed on July 16, 2001. However, original check never received, and now I assume it was never sent.
I have called several times and was told by numerous customer service reps that a new check would be mailed. I have contacted RebateHQ over six times and each person I talk to says, "give it 2 weeks." Well, those weeks keep adding up. Spoke with another rep today who said a check was printed on October 29th and I need to give it another two weeks from today (November 12, 2001).
This is ridiculous and I am very upset with Rebate HQ. I told the rep I would be calling back in two weeks as I am positive that a check will not be sent. I am also going to try and contact the BBB.

I read another person having the same difficulty with the same company as I. It occurs to me that they are probably short-circuiting the checks in the mail and cashing the rebates themselves. Remember, Miami is a sunny place for shady people. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 16 years, I know what I'm talking about.
I believe a possible 'fix' to these kinds of problems would be to send a copy of the ripoff report to the company offering the rebates. Mine was Canon. If enough of these reports are brought to the attention of the companies using these rebate scammers, perhaps they'll consider the negative customer as undesirable and fire scam artists like these.
