Red Roof Inn Would not honor advertised price Goodlettsville, Tennessee

A sign outside this Red Roof Inn advertised rooms for $39.99. When I was charged $85.99 I asked about the advertised price. I was told bluntly that price couldn't be honored because there was a "Fan Appreciation Festival" going on and rooms were scarce. 
Fearing I wouldn't find another room I took one here. The walls, carpet, and furniture were filthy. The toilet was cracked and leaking. The bathroom floor was crumbling.
I ended up paying nearly $105 after fees and taxes were added. The advertised price of $39.99 would have been too much to pay for this substandard room and rude treatment.
