I had an appointment at the Regis Hair Salon in sacramento, and upon arriving I was told that there had been a switch and that a different girl, Hope, would be doing my hair.
All I wanted was a simple highlight touch-up. Before my head was even out of the sink, she was saying to me, "now, you can come back and I can fix this", which is not something you want to hear a hairdresser say to you.
While drying my hair she kept trying to hide it from me, saying how, if I style it a certain way, it wouldn't be so bad.
She ruined my hair.
Somehow, she did not even manage to do the root touch-up. She did, however, manage to turn portions of my hair orange. And she did not blend it into my other hair, so I have sharp cut-off points where the colors are different. I have blobs of color, blobs of roots, the underside of my hair is covered in leopard spots. No one in their right mind would call this competent. I could have done better had I tried to do it myself. I then had to pay $90 for this! Only to have to come back some time in the future to have it fixed. I would very much like my money back.

Yeah, I complained while I was there. Cried, actually. And the manager said to come back and she will fix it, gave me a new appointment to come and work with the manager directly, which is why I paid.

Why did you pay?

Why did you pay for the service if you were so dissatisfied? Generally, payment for services rendered indicates satisfaction with the work performed. I find it interesting that you never once mentioned bringing your dissatisfaction to the attention of salon management, and trying to work something out before leaving the salon.
Seeing as how you have paid and left and are NOW complaining, management cannot be certain that you did not damage your own hair after the fact by doing some crazy home color regimen, and are now trying to blame your lack of expertise on the salon by having them fix your mistake. Not saying that is what happened in your case, but you cannot prove it at this late date.
