THE FOLLOWING IS A COPY OF A LETTER I SENT TO REGIS. I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE FROM THEM.

Regis Corporation
7201 Metro Blvd
Minneapolis, Mn. 55439

To Whom It May Concern:
Saturday, October 29, 2005, I went to your Regis Hair Salon in The Woodlands, Texas. I told Gina that I wanted my hair highlighted and cut.

When we discussed the color, I told her somewhere between lighter than my original color and a dark blonde. I told her that I did not want anything that was too blonde because I felt that was not a good color for me.

The haircut I requested was to be real short in the back (where a pair of clippers would have to be used), angled side burns then cut up above my ears, and I wanted the top to be short, just where I could curl on a small curling iron if I wanted to. I also told her I would like a razor cut because my hair did a lot better with slightly uneven ends. I also told her not to cut my bangs just trim then kind of spiky and uneven.

What I got was a highlight job that did not change the color of my hair at all. My haircut was cut with scissors and then randomly botched up with a razor. The back part of my hair is anywhere from to long, the sides are no where even, one side is 1 - 1 1/2 longer than the other side. My bangs were cut and cut very uneven. One of my side burns is angled and the other is cut straight.

I do not think I have ever been as disappointed with a hair stylists or a hair cut as I am with this fiasco. I paid my bill of $96.00 but do not feel I should have been charged. I did not say anything at the time because I had my little girl with me and I was so upset I was almost in tears. I do not want to go back to her to try and get this messed fixed, due to the fact it will probably be made worse.

I don't know what your policy is on this kind of disaster, but it is my belief that I should either be reimbursed or given a re-do by another more competent operator. I live more than 25 miles away and work 5-6 days a week, therefore, it is not real easy for me to schedule an appointment any time.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Pure ugliness all around

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 05, 2006

It is obvious to me that the complainant's desired hairstyle was rather ugly according to her description, and that it most likely looked even uglier on her head. For her not to say anything to the stylist about her dissatisfaction and then post an accusatory complaint on the internet is a very low blow. Had she simply talked to the stylist, it appears as though all would have been promptly resolved. I hope now that all offers to help this woman will be rescinded due to her rudeness in handling the situation.

In my defense

AUTHOR: Gina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 04, 2006

I feel if the client did not like any of the service giving at that time she should of made a point of letting me know. We are not mind readers. If she would of informed me or any stylist in my salon of the problem we would of corrected the problem. As far as my company not responding I know for a fact that my corporate office would of called my manager or supervisor of the problem.

I happen to be a very experienced stylist but I can make mistakes and need in put to improve.
Hairstylists are human too. And most hairstyles are not always even especially in today's world.

I also think it is wrong to bad mouth me or my salon when she did not even attempt to contact the salon about this problem. If it was money I would of.

Sincrely,
Gina

just confused

YOU SAID:

I also told her I would like a razor cut because my hair did a lot better with slightly uneven ends. I also told her not to cut my bangs just trim then kind of spiky and uneven

I AM SAYING:
Clippers will leave you with only 1in to as short as a 5 O'clock shadow(so really short)
You did not want her to cut your bangs, but trim them so they are spiky an uneven? SPIKEY means to me standing up on ends. UNEVEN means to me it will not be cut straight across to me. So there will be really long and short pieces in your bangs, and it seems to me that it you want you bangs to be spiky and uneven then I guess they will have to be cut, right?

YOU SAID:
The back part of my hair is anywhere from to long, the sides are no where even, one side is 1 - 1 1/2 longer than the other side. My bangs were cut and cut very uneven. One of my side burns is angled and the other is cut straight.

I AM SAYING:
So according to what I said in the top comment where did she go wrong with the shortness in back? Let me guess you wanted it to be 1IN long in back. Only 1/4" longer than what you said. Sorry unless you have a ruler out correcting your haircut, you will not notice. SORRY. As far as one side being longer, go back request someone else and have it fixed..
As far as you color I can't explain over the computer about hair color. I am a hairdresser. Unless I have color swatches in front of me to show to you and explain everything clearly I can not give you my opinion on that.

I am not writing this letter in malice. These are just words on a computer and you get to interpret them the way you want to hear them come out of my mouth. Just picture me saying this very nicely as the way you might speak to your Grandmother, that is if you get along with her.
