reliant energy NRG energy giving out personal information after i moved to another company corpus christi Texas

my contract was expiring with reliant so i contacted them and got a person that told me their system was down and for me to call back in 24 hrs.  i did not really care for the person i spoke with they did not seem to have integrity so i decided to check out other energy company prices at the power to choose web site and found a better deal and let me add that it looked like reliant were over billing me according to the fact sheet but i did not even want to get into that game with them and from what i have read about them on this site i think i made the right choice there.

anyway just after i was switched over to the new company i started getting phone calls from someone leaving a voice mail saying that they were from reliant and it looks like someone was trying to make a charge to ny account and gave me a 877 number to call them back on.

i went to my acct online that i had with them and it appears everything is fine other than they are overchaging me. anyway it was very suspicious and i believe they are giving out my personal information because i left their company.
