They only do it when the government says they have to or they fear lawsuits. Expect them to have their eyes glued to their profit and loss statements. That's how all of them operate.

 Saying that you will get green energy if you sign up for a certain plan is a great marketing tool. But it probably has little or no effect on how much electricity is generated that way.
