Rentalcars.com Priceline Too late for a rental car Manchester

I made arrangemnts to rent a car in Munich for 3 days.

I made my way to the Rail station to pick up the car and I was late the office closed at 4pm and I got there just after and had said that I would be there by 11:30 to pick it up. I tired to call the number provided and there was no answer it was fro Hertz. I came back the next day at 8am and tried to pick up my car and the lady at the desk said tha car was gone because I wasnt here within 2 hours of my time of 11:30. I let her know I had paid in advance for a 3 day rental and why wasn't my car still there and she said it was gone.

I told her I didnt undersatnd if I had paid for it for 3 days I should still have the remainder of the contract to use the car. I was told no. I had to make other arangements oh they had a car but the price was 3 x the amount. we took the train. I tried to get a refund from Rentalcars.com and they said no I had not canceled the car previous to 3 days and did pick the car up or call them - I pointed out the only nukber they gave me was Hertz and they were closed. They said the matter was closed and they would not refund any money.
