RETRIEVER TOWING TOWING OFF PRIVATE PROPERTY WHEN YOU HAVE A PERMIT PORTLAND Oregon

I'm given a temporary permit that is basically a 8.5 x 11 yellow piece of paper that has your plate number and is to be placed on your dash. Mind you this is in a complex that I have to pay $25.00 extra a month to have two permits for my two cars. One night I come home, walk inside, set the groceries down and get a phone call.

As I walk out onto the porch I see the tow truck driver making a U-turn. Since my car has been towed off the property twice before I actually lived there I am naturally paranoid. I tell my grandma hold on and run out and around the corner where my car was parked and see the driver backed up at my car. I run up and tell him, "hold up I got my permit, its in the car", but has evidently fallen off the dash. He continues to hook my car up to the tow truck despite that I have proven that I have permission to park on the property. He tells me to give him $120 dollars to stop the tow. I go get my boyfriend out of bed cause I don't know what to do and am convinced that I'll have to pay the guy.

When I get back outside, he had my car totally hitched up and was about to take it while I was gone. Mind you this was after I had left the driver door open with my phone, wallet, keys, registration on top of the car and had told him to hold on while I went to get my boyfriend. My boyfriend argues for a minute and the guy says well I can call the police so we're like go ahead. What a joke and what was the point when all they did was tell us thier was nothing they could do and to take it up with management.

THEN to boot, we finally say "f" it and pay it hoping to be conpensated and the bill turns into $178.00. I say, "wait, you said 120", and he says, " yeah, plus 2.00 a minute standby fee". I wanted to slit his throat right then and there. And the Tigard police were completly USELESS................. AS USUAL.
