I was looking for a particular ringtone for my cellphone, and I ran into www.Ringophone.com. They had all the ringtones I wanted and more. Using PayPal, I bought the cheapest package I could get: 10 ringtones for $8.99. Not bad, I thought. The site asked for my e-mail, which I provided, and it gave me a password. Since I paid by PayPal using my checking account, ringophone.com said it would take a few days for the check to clear. No problem. I'll wait.

After a few days, PayPal told me the check has cleared; Ringophone now had my payment. I went to the web site and tried entering my password to get my ringtones and I get an error..."Invalid Password". It said my password was bad. "Fine," I thought, "I won't panic. This happens all the time." The site also says that after placing an order, it may take "a few minutes" for the password to be activated. I waited two full days and figured my password would be activated. Nope. Same Error. Maybe I was typing it wrong? There's a "Forgot Your Password" section that claimed will e-mail me my password. I entered my e-mail, which if you recall I gave them at the time of my purchase, but I get another error: "Sorry, we don't have your e-mail". The site said I didn't give it to them, which is complete bull. After exhausting the few options given to me in the Help section, I decided to e-mail the support personnel to get this problem straightened out. I got a return e-mail pretty quick- It was the EXACT SAME text as the Help page, in e-mail format. Terrible! That's not support!

I've concluded that I will never be able to log in using that password supplied to me. They claim they don't have my e-mail, so they won't be able to send me my password. I want to say the entire web site is a fraud to get your money, but why would they go through the trouble to make such an ornate web site? It's a nice functioning site...too nice to be a fraud. But what gives? If you need ringtones or cellphone downloads, go somewhere else. Ringophone will take your money, like they took mine, and you'll never see a dime again. At least it was under $10...I'll survive.

DON'T BUY FROM RINGOPHONE.COM !!!!!!!!!
