This company is a completely fraudulent scam.  I purchased this warranty for almost $2,000.  Within the first six months, this company has refused to pay for two repairs that are covered.  I had a full vehicle inspection, by the dealer, before I purchased my used car, and they found the car to be in perfect working order with no issues.  I also take impeccable care of my vehicle.  A few months after I purchased by car, I was informed that  seal in the engine block had failed and needed to be replaced.  Route 66 made me jump through hoops for two months to "verify" that the seal had indeed failed (even though it was independently documented by a repair shop and the dealer).  In the end, they said that my car was not "consuming" enough oil for them to cover the repair.  This had nothing to do with oil "cosumption".  It had to do with a failed engine block seal.  I had to go to extensive measures, until finally the CEO of the warranty company agreed to cover the repair.

Four months after my first problem with the warranty company, I am now having trouble with them again.  My cars air intake valves and air pump are clogged and need to be replaced.  The car can not get any air into the engine, and is therefore inoperable.  The warranty company said that they don't cover exhaust or emmissions.  They said modern day air intake valves are designed to provide the exact amount of air to enter the engine to maximize performance.  They said that since in maximizes performance, it minimizes emissions.  Therefore, it is not cover.

The legal definition of emissions is "the production and discharge of something, especially gas or radiation."  Emissions happen after a reaction (in this case, combustion).  I spoke with a close engineering friend who deals specifically with emissions.  They also stated that emissions occur after a reaction, and that air coming into a reaction has absolutetly nothing to do with emissions or exhaust that occur after combustion. Therefore, this should be covered.  However, Route 66 doesn't agree with the legal definitions of exhaust or emissions.  So they won't cover the repair.

Do yourself a favor; avoid this warranty company at all costs.  They are a complete scam.
