For all you getting harrassed by RPM:

You are all not alone. I have had RPM calling me multiple times a day (sometimes after 11:00 pm as confirmed by my son) over a debt they refuse to mail me after repeated requests so I can validate it.

They "claim" they sent two notices, which is total BS, as I would have acted on it the minute I saw the first one. They "convieniently" make sure that you don't get the debt notification at all and claim they sent it, or more likely, send it out on a date that makes it virtually impossible for a debtor to dispute the debit.

They are ruthless. They've been calling me several times a day (upwards to 10 times a day), for the past 3 months, leaving blank voicemails. They "claim" that it's because they could not "connect", but it's really harrassment.

In fact tonight, I picked up on the first ring (I was waiting for them to call), line disconnected. So, I called back. Gave them a bit of their own medicine.

I decided to call them back, several times on their own dime. Each time I requested a copy of the debt, they refused and got all butthurt and disconnected the call. Call their 866 number, and they don't like it.

I did manage to get one person who was somewhat unrude to me and I asked for the address to send a Ceast and Desist letter. Simply send a C&D letter, certified mail (return receipt requested) to the following address:

RPM
PO BOX 768
Bothell, WA 98041

I notice how these slimebags hide behind a PO Box too, so it is important to make SURE to get a signature upon delivery.

Until that glorious day happens, I plan on having as much fun as I can . Either they send me proof of the debt, stop calling my house, or actually receive the C&D letter and actually do something, I plan on returning their phone calls in the same way they leave them for me.

I'm hoping they sue me at this point. I have all the evidence I need.

Hiding behind a PoBox..

AUTHOR: Azu - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 23, 2009

I don't work for the bothell location but, i must say we are not hiding behind a POBox we are part of a business park we have a suite number and a physical address but, that is not a mailing address. Plenty of people have PoBoxes in the US so are all of them slimebags too?

We are just doing our jobs. AND it is actually possible to call a number at 11 at night because if you have a cell number with a western area code and you moved out to the east then your area code which is how the computer determines your local time thinks it is still before nine... get your number changed if that is the case. I have a east coast number and have from collectors gotten calls at 4am... but, i know why and i'm not about to make an issue out of that.

Serious?

AUTHOR: Kraelo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 03, 2009

The business is based on the West Coast and isn't even open after 8 pm, which would be 11 pm your time to even 'call' you. We follow strict guidelines set forth by the FDCPA which is where i'll be stating certain facts for you.

We can 'call' as many times as it takes to get ahold of you, the calls will not be harrassing in any way between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm the debtors local time. A call is deemed your phone ringing and 'no one' answering. That includes 3rd party.

Messages left by the collector are voluntary and depend on case by case basis.

You calling back doesn't even go to the same center, it goes to people who sit there and answer phone calls.

We are required by the FDCPA to send (1) Dunning Notice (to validate the debt and the creditor) to the address listed with the 'creditor'. It is not the businesses responsibility to track you down and make sure your address is correct. If you moved it is your responsibility to notify your creditor of your new address.

We do not have to send you a new validation of the debt, we are only required to intially send the 1st notice.

I hope you resolve your debt as reported by your creditor.
