Rush Fitness Complex Signed contract & rep changed it when it was already signed Alcoa, Tennessee

I went in on Sept. 30 2010 to sign up again for this gym because I was paying 53.00 on a month to month contract.  I got a good deal of 24.00 a month...well I was happy about that.  My boyfriend and I workout together a lot and requested information about the Elite program where you can bring 2 friends with you.  I was told by two different member service reps that it was a month to month billing and it would not be a problem to cancel anytime. 

So I signed up with Rhonda and she told me she would get everything together after I already signed she did not give my copy of the contract after we got done working out.  Well...I trusted her because when I did sign it...it did not sure any dates...of service.  Just showed I upgraded to elite.  Well thinking she was an honest person...I did not look at the contract when she handed it back to me...BIG MISTAKE.  I find out by another rep that I was stuck under the elite until my original contract was up.  All I want to do is drop the extra service charge for the elite of 19.00, but I am 80% sure I will not get anywhere with the manager tomorrow at the Aloca Branch. 

He will just say...that I signed it...but what she did was take the contract and entered in dates after I signed it.  She said she needed to put my first months and last months payment in the computer.  Meaning to sign up for this service I had to pay last months & 1st months.  Why...I don't know...but I should have used my brain more.  Well my boyfriend was there as well and heard everything I asked and her answers.  I am very disappointed because I did not use the service enough because my boyfriend lives 4 hours away...I just got it so we would not have any more problems when we wanted to work out together.  Do not join this gym...find somewhere else.  I already filed a complaint with the BBB.
