Ryan Homes advertises a quality product.  Their model homes are immaculate and beautiful.  The sales pitch is all about quality construction that results in an energy efficient home built to last.  Then when you buy the product, it is absolutely the opposite.

When purchasing a new home, you should absolutely expect that home to be delivered as a quality product and one that supports the investment that it is – a once in a lifetime purchase and investment.  Your dream home should not be your nightmare regarding the most important purchase you’re likely to ever make.  Your life savings should not be wasted.

That is exactly what happened to us, to our family.  As an active duty military serviceman, I purchased our first home through Ryan Homes prior to retirement from active duty and we intended for that home to last, to be the lifetime purchase investment we expected.  We expected an energy efficient, quality built home.  We didn't get that and regarding our expectations of a quality product, we couldn't have been more wrong. 

Faulty wiring, leaking roofs, cracked foundations and driveways, crawl space moisture, crooked door frames, shoddy landscaping, improper grading/drainage, improper installation of home systems (A/C, vent ducts, plumbing), warped and creaky flooring, buckled/cracked drywall, buckled decks, excessive nail pops, mold, mildew and moisture problems, insulation issues, etc. all top the growing list of problems with a Ryan Home constructed in Hampton Roads, Virginia. 

We have producted a document (flyer) and we're actively passing it around at Ryan Homes sales locations in the Hampton Roads area.  That document, along with a BBB report filed and this ripoff report will be used to bring awareness to consumer fraud, deceptive business practices and poor quality craftsmanship and construction regarding Ryan Homes as a business and a homebuilder.

Furthermore, Ryan Homes homeowners who are dissatisfied with their product are encouraged to sign onto an online petition in order to support a class action lawsuit against the business for ripping off the consumer and delivering a sub standard product. The consumer absolutely deserves something better regarding the lifetime investment in the purchase of a newly constructed home.

For those considering purchase, I implore you to walk away – contact a realtor and look for a home that was built better, built to last, built with quality construction.  Ask yourself this question – why don't Ryan Homes sales persons, contractors, and  building supervisors live in a Ryan Home built by the same people who built your Ryan Home?  Because they know its ultimately going to be fall apart.  Built with low quality craftmanship, with contractors who lack technical acumen, built with low quality materials with cheap labor that was never meant to deliver a real quality product.  Instead, the constructed result is the cheapest, most cost effective method meant to pad their bottom line.  All while simultaneously taking advantage of the consumer, putting on a facade the entire time in order to deceive thousands who trusted them to deliver on the promised product. 

We need to stand up as a Community, a City, a State and as a Nation to hold this business accountable.  This is a multibillion dollar business that is taking advantage of the customer (you) at your expense to pad their bottom line.  They don’t care about you.  Outrage and frustration grows and action has now commenced.  Please go online, read the links below and determine for yourself.
