I worked for Safeguard for years and everytime we did a job over 1000.00 they would try or would cut the pay by saying we missed something on the job or we missed something at a property 2 years ago, yes they would say that. I have had them try to charge me back on properties that were sold and being lived in, the work was fine for years till they owed you money. Even though I signed a lien waiver I would threaten to put liens on properties to get paid and sometimes that would not work. Finnally it got to the point were i was just sick of fighting to get paid after putting out alot of money to complete some of the hardest work we have ever done. They would pre approve a 200 yard trash out and when it was complete they would come back and say it was only 55 cubic yards and not want to pay for the work. Then they would block you from being able to pull up the work order history so you could not see the photos of the work you completed. But I would save all the photos of the work I did and be able to dispute the chargebacks with the photos I had and this still did not work all the time.

Over the years they got me for about $25,000 or more, which for a contrator doing this type of work is alot of money. I quit doing their work and waited till i got all my checks before I told them I wasnt doing anymore work for them at all. If i would have told them I quit they would have held my pay and found reasons not to pay what they owed just like they have done with so many other contractors I have met through out the years. Its been almost a year now and I still get emails that they are going to charge me back for something............. Good luck with that. If I didnt stay on top of everything they would have ripped me off for tens of thousands more, no telling what the total would have been. I have seen them put alot of people out of business because of refusing to pay them.

This Was the worst company I have ever worked for and just dont see how they stay in business. I guess there is a large line of people willing to try this work, unfortunatley most of them will get ripped off to the point of going broke and wind up going out of business and get jobs. My advise is to try any other company but Safeguard if you are going to get into this business. Its not a question when it comes to them ripping you off, the question is when are they going to and how much will they get you for? I even asked the vice president of operations, Joe Ifigliola or what ever his name is, if the reps there got commission for the amounts they got out of paying you. Just an aweful company sign up and try. You will see
