Avoid Sage Payment Solutions of McLean, Virginia at all times and for any reason.  Not only are their charges higher than other merchant processors charge for credit card transactions, they can come up with more bogus charges and extra fees than you will believe.

They also charge a cancellation fee when you close your account.  I sent a certified letter (I received the return receipt on schedule.) saying that we were closing the account, but they still billed me for two more months and then took a cancellation fee of $200.  The cancellation fee is based on the out-dated theory that your account is automatically renewed every year, unilaterally, by them.  This automatic renewal is not allowed under several state laws, but that does not stop these crooks.  If you have an account with them, be sure to close the bank account and move to a new bank.  Otherwise, you will pay and pay.  

 Bottom line:  do not do business with Sage Payment.  You have been warned.
